Oban is one of Scotland's oldest and smallest distilleries. Founded in 1794, the West Highland port town of the same name has grown around the distillery. Altos Reposado Tequila is produced in the picturesque Los Altos, situated 2000+ metres above sea level, and is know for its mineral-rich, volcanic tierra roja (red earth), which is complemented by a unique microclimate. These combined factors contribute to the cultivation of the highest quality blue Agave, used by Altos for producing their award winning tequila. Aged 6 to 8 months in ex-Bourbon barrels. Altos Reposado is robust, yet pleasant, with tannins and citrus notes; a long and well-balance finish.
