Full and dense, with strong black & blue fruit from the Petite Sirah, complemented by bright red slightly candied fruit in the background from the Zinfandel. The dark toasted oak integrates these flavours and finishes on a slightly sweet note.

Many of the vineyards he developed have gone on to win global recognition. In 1985, Allan bought land in the Rapaura district of Marlborough.
